eBay is hiring a Manager – Legal & Company Secretary with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of matters including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, employment, intellectual property, marketing, privacy, and corporate governance.
- Manage civil and criminal complaints, litigation, and user dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance under the Companies Act including drafting minutes and filing with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
- Design and implement scalable legal operating models.
- Oversee external counsel and manage legal budgets.
- Track legislative and regulatory changes and implement corresponding internal policies.
- Collaborate with the broader Asia-Pacific legal team.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a reputable university, preferably from a National Law School or any premier law school.
- Must be a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience at a top law firm and in-house legal department of a tech MNC.
- Experience in e-commerce, technology, or product development services is strongly preferred.
