Details of the Job/Internship
Cvent is hiring a senior legal professional to design, build, and lead its ethics and compliance programme.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and grow the ethics and compliance programme, including risk assessments and reporting.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise on business impact.
- Advise HR on employment matters, POSH issues, investigations, and employment agreements.
- Conduct and oversee internal investigations and manage ethics hotline processes.
- Maintain compliance trackers, closure matrices, and annual filing calendars.
- Support India corporate secretarial and regulatory compliance, including Board meetings.
- Draft, update, and operationalise corporate policies and compliance programmes.
- Lead compliance training, awareness campaigns, and communications.
- Advise on sales, marketing practices, gifts, hospitality, and government interactions.
- Support audits, certifications, M&A diligence, and compliance tooling initiatives.
- Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
- Implement automation and AI-enabled compliance tools to improve efficiency.
Eligibility
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience in legal compliance and programme management.
- Prior in-house experience at a global technology, SaaS, or regulated company.
- Strong expertise in India employment law and corporate secretarial compliance.
- Knowledge of FCPA, UK Bribery Act, sanctions, export controls, and data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
- Proven investigations experience and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, project management, and independent working ability.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, diversity, and inclusion.
Salary/Stipend
