Details of the Job/Internship
CFO & Legal is hiring a Legal Compliance Manager to join their team, reporting to the Licensing and Compliance Senior Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing, coordinating, and maintaining an effective regulatory compliance support function across the organization to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain the department's compliance strategy in line with industry best practices.
- Provide day-to-day support to business units on regulatory compliance issues.
- Manage state, federal, and internal examinations, ensuring clear communication with U.S. regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Identify, address, and resolve regulatory compliance issues and facilitate appropriate corrective actions.
- Track emerging U.S. regulations relevant to the applicable lines of business and analyze their impact on the organization.
- Perform annual risk review programs across all BFS business lines, partnering with Internal Audit, Legal, and Business Units as needed.
Eligibility
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements governing banking and financial services (BFS), including SAFE Act, Gramm-Leach-bliley Act, FACTA, FCRA, RESPA, TILA, AML/BSA, and others.
- Proven ability to research, analyze, and apply compliance regulations to business scenarios.
- Experience in state, federal, and in-house audits is critical.
