CapitalVia is hiring a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 3 years of experience to support its legal, regulatory and compliance functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contracts, including negotiation, drafting, reviewing and monitoring throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to business units, operations and HR teams.
- Handle litigation, arbitration and regulatory proceedings.
- Coordinate with external counsel, support legal strategy and assist in preparing legal documents.
- Interpret applicable laws, regulations and guidelines and assist management in ensuring compliance.
- Ensure smooth functioning of legal matters in various courts.
- Develop, maintain and revise organisational policies and procedures.
- Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct and oversee investigation processes.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management on their impact.
- Identify legal risks in business proposals and suggest mitigation measures.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, governmental and statutory authorities.
- Ensure effective stakeholder and external counsel management.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, financial, corporate and labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
