Livlong Insurance is hiring a Legal Compliance Manager for its Thane, Maharashtra office. The role requires 3 years of experience in the insurance sector.
Role and Responsibilities
- Regulatory Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the Insurance Act, IRDAI Regulations, Insurance Broker Regulations, and other rules or regulations as issued by the IRDAI and Health Regulators.
- Compliance Management: Oversee and manage compliance with insurance and healthcare-related laws and regulations, ensuring that the company remains fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
- Legal Assistance: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and providing legal input on various matters, including contracts, insurance policies, communications, and correspondence related to compliance matters.
- Regulatory Filings: Prepare and file various regulatory forms, returns, and reports with IRDAI and/or Health Regulators, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Stay Updated: Continuously monitor and stay up-to-date on changes in insurance, healthcare, and regulatory laws to advise on necessary adjustments or updates to policies and procedures.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external teams during audits to ensure that all compliance requirements are being met, addressing any issues or discrepancies as necessary.
- Training & Guidance: Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters, educating and ensuring that company practices align with legal and regulatory standards.
Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in insurance companies or insurance broking firms, specifically handling insurance compliance.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Insurance Act, IRDAI Regulations, and healthcare compliance frameworks.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and review skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory materials.
- Experience in preparing and submitting regulatory filings, returns, and forms with the IRDAI or health regulators.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
