Details of the Job/Internship

SafeGold is hiring a Legal Compliance Manager with 4–6 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves managing legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks across operations in India and the UAE.

Role and Responsibilities

• Execute KYC, KYB, and AML/CFT tasks, including CDD, EDD, and transaction monitoring.
• Monitor UAE AML/KYC regulatory changes and update internal policies accordingly.
• Maintain statutory registers, compliance reports, and trackers.
• Conduct monthly compliance meetings and AML/CFT training programs.
• Prepare risk assessments and support inspections by the UAE Ministry of Economy.
• Escalate suspicious transactions and assist in filing STRs and SARs via the goAML platform.
• Draft and update SOPs and internal policies.
• Organize Board and Shareholder meetings, and prepare related documentation.
• Manage filings and renewals on the DMCC portal.
• Liaise with internal legal head and external counsel; monitor trademark matters.
• Conduct due diligence and manage execution and archiving of legal agreements.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, document retention, and audit coordination.

Eligibility

• Qualified Company Secretary (CS).
• Certifications such as CAMS or ICA preferred.
• Candidates with NISM Series-III-A and Series-VII certifications will have an advantage.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in compliance and/or legal functions, preferably in banking, financial institutions, regulated sectors, or multinational firms.
• Familiarity with DMCC and UAE regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Prior experience in drafting SOPs, legal documentation, and board secretarial work.
