Details of the Job/Internship

JSW Motors is hiring a Legal Counsel – Manufacturing Unit with 8–10 years of experience to be based at its manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable factory laws, labour regulations, and environmental and safety norms.
• Support internal audit teams on compliance-related matters.
• Provide legal guidance to IR and ER teams on employment issues, disputes, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with ESH teams on legal aspects of environment, health, and safety compliance.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for inspections and compliance matters.
• Work with the Corporate Affairs team on government incentives and engagements with local authorities.
• Maintain and update legal and compliance documentation for the manufacturing unit.
• Conduct legal awareness and compliance training sessions for employees and management.
• Act as a trusted legal advisor with strong ethics and empathy.
• Support internal investigations and manage legal disputes arising from factory operations.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB or LLM) with Bar Council membership or equivalent qualification.
• 8–10 years of legal experience, preferably in manufacturing and factory law compliance.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, factory acts, and environmental regulations.
• Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
• High ethical standards, empathy, and attention to detail.
