Details of the Job/Internship

Glomo is hiring a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Associate with 4+ years of experience to join their team in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Payments & Commercial Contracts: Draft and negotiate complex partnership agreements with banks, fintech entities, and card schemes. Manage merchant acquiring, SaaS, and API integration agreements.
• Regulatory Advisory: Provide guidance on RBI, IFSCA, and FEMA frameworks. Support regulatory applications and assist in evaluating the foreign regulatory implications of cross-border transactions.
• Product Collaboration: Partner with the Product team to review user journeys, commercial models, and product flows from a legal risk perspective.
• Governance: Assist in developing internal legal policies, managing contract lifecycle systems, and coordinating with external counsel for specialized international matters.
• Strategic Support: Support board documentation and investor-related legal requirements as the company scales its global infrastructure.

Eligibility

• Mandatory LL.B. degree; LL.M. is considered a strong plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience at a reputable law firm or in-house within a financial institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in Fintech, TMT, or Banking & Finance practice areas.
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and regulatory architecture in India.
• Previous experience with cross-border transactions is a significant advantage.
• Ability to independently lead complex negotiations and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
