PPL India is a performance rights organization that licenses sound recordings for public communication, including public performances and broadcasts. It represents over 350 music labels with more than 4.5 million domestic and international recordings. PPL collects royalties from various establishments and broadcasters for the public performance and radio broadcasting of its members' music. It plays a key role in protecting and monetizing sound recording rights in India.
Details of the Job/Internship
PPL India is hiring a Legal Consultant (IPR) with litigation and non-litigation experience to join their office in Vijayawada.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and send legal notices, replies, and emails regarding copyright queries and disputes.
- Prepare police complaints and legal representations.
- Handle litigation and non-litigation matters, including drafting plaints, suits, complaints, affidavits, replies, and agreements.
- Obtain injunctions from the High Court against defaulters.
- Attend meetings with corporate and adamant parties to clarify legal queries.
- Provide legal support to the Legal and Sales Team.
- Travel pan India as required.
- Conduct legal research.
- Handle corporate legal work.
Eligibility
- LL.B. in Law.
- Experience in litigation, legal drafting, intellectual property, and corporate law.
- Strong legal research, communication, and advisory skills.
