Details of the Job/Internship
Somireddy Law Group is currently seeking motivated Legal Consultants or Paralegals with a strong interest in U.S. Wills and Trusts to join their dynamic team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical exposure to American and international legal systems while working alongside experienced attorneys from both India and the U.S.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end paralegal support to U.S.-based estate planning attorneys.
- Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Assist in trust administration and probate filings.
- Prepare and maintain asset inventories and beneficiary designations.
- Draft client correspondence related to estate matters.
- Track deadlines and manage trust/estate administration timelines.
- Prepare transfer documentation for trust funding.
- Maintain and organize digital client files and legal documents.
- Conduct factual research on properties and assets.
- Assist with estate tax and fiduciary income tax return preparation.
- Coordinate document execution meetings across U.S. and India time zones.
- Develop family tree diagrams and beneficiary charts.
- Compile and review financial records.
- Draft preliminary versions of trust accountings.
- Communicate professionally with clients in both the U.S. and India.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
Eligibility
- Law degree (LL.B. or LL.M.) from a recognized university.
- Professional fluency in English – both written and verbal.
- Strong communication, legal research, and drafting skills.
- Ability to interpret legal information and present it clearly.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
- Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Fresh law graduates are encouraged to apply.
