Details of the Job/Internship
FarmwiseAI Pvt Ltd is hiring a Legal Consultant with over 2 years of corporate or in-house legal experience to join their Chennai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to agri-tech and AI sectors.
- Advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsel.
- Manage intellectual property, licensing, and data protection issues.
- Monitor legislative developments affecting business operations.
- Establish and maintain legal templates, compliance checklists, and policies.
Eligibility
- LLB Bachelor’s degree; Master’s or specialization preferred.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in corporate or in-house legal roles; experience in technology or agriculture advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and employment law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- High ethical standards and discretion.
