Details of the Job/Internship
Leena AI is hiring for the position of Legal Consultant with 4+ years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
- Position: Legal Counsel – Contract & Employment Law
- Shift Timing: 3:00 PM IST – 12:00 Midnight IST
- Location: Work from Gurugram Office (On-site)
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Review & Negotiation:
- Review, analyze, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with Indian and international legal standards. Ensure clarity of terms, risk mitigation, and alignment with internal policies.
- NDA Evaluation:
- Assess Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to safeguard sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality clauses are well-defined, enforceable, and jurisdiction-appropriate.
- Employment Law Advisory:
- Provide legal guidance on employment contracts and workplace matters, ensuring adherence to Indian labor laws and international employment regulations, including termination, employee rights, and benefits.
- Legal Research:
- Conduct in-depth legal research to stay abreast of legislative changes and legal trends impacting contracts and employment practices in India and globally.
- Internal Client Support:
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, employment matters, and legal implications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all legal agreements and processes comply with applicable Indian laws (Companies Act, Contract Act, labor regulations) as well as relevant foreign legal frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Sales, and other internal departments to support contract negotiations and resolve legal concerns in a global business context.
- Process Ownership & Document Management:
- Take end-to-end ownership of the legal document review process, meeting defined SLAs. Develop and maintain standardized templates for contracts and NDAs, aligning with business needs while mitigating legal risks.
Eligibility
Education:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution; Master of Laws (LLM) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in legal advisory, with a focus on contract and employment law across Indian and international domains.
Licensing (Preferred):
- Registered with the Bar Council of India with a valid license to practice law
