Details of the Job/Internship

A US-based law firm is hiring for the position of Legal Consultant with 2-4 years of experience to join their office remotely. 

• Work Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST
• Work Days: Monday to Alternate Saturday
• Mode: 100% Remote
• Notice Period: Immediate Joiner

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, research, and prepare legal documents and ensure clear, regular communication with clients regarding case procedures and updates.
• Conduct daily audits of firm cases to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal protocols and legal standards.
• Maintain and update client records in the case management system and physical files.
• Analyze case documents and prepare necessary legal submissions such as applications, briefs, and pleadings for court or agency filing.
• Manage caseload from case intake through final processing and closure.
• Organize and prepare all necessary documentation for filing and review.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses.
• Support caseworkers with case preparation as required.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies regarding confidentiality and data protection (e.g., Data Protection Act).
• Keep clients regularly informed on the status and progress of their cases.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of legal procedures related to immigration, divorce, bankruptcy, and employment law.
• Respond promptly to immigration and visa-related inquiries, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with all deadlines.
• Perform regular audits of personal casework to ensure timely mailing and completion of pending matters.
• Follow up with USCIS, courts, and other relevant bodies as necessary.

Eligibility

Experience Required: 2–4 years (mandatory).
