Details of the Job/Internship
US Based Law Firm is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Consultant.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting forms and affidavits in support, and interactions with the USCIS regularly to keep the cases updated and active.
- To handle Family-based petitions, Bankruptcy, Divorce, Immigration, VAWA, and Asylum cases.
- Communicating advice about all matters of Family-based petitions, Bankruptcy, Divorce, Immigration, VAWA, and Asylum matters with internal attorneys.
- Explaining available courses of action and possible repercussions of cases to clients.
- Addressing the client's concernsregarding deportation and termination, and handling caseterminologies.
- Communicating with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns.
- Write case notes and reports.
- Preparing forms and completing the packet.
- Preparing the clients for interviews.
- Attending daily team meetings.
Eligibility
- LLM/LLB degree required.
- Law, Legal Advice, and Legal Assistance skills.
- Legal Document Preparation expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent research and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal consultancy.
- LLM degree in Law or relevant field.
