Details of the Job/Internship

Ascensus is hiring a Legal Contracts Analyst with at least 3 years of experience in contract review and drafting to join their Legal, Risk & Compliance Department in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review contract terms to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal standards.
• Draft and populate contract templates with relevant business and legal terms under counsel supervision.
• Identify and escalate non-compliant clauses and propose revisions aligned with internal guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams (finance, privacy, infosec, compliance) for input on business terms.
• Maintain accurate contract records and ensure executed agreements reflect approved terms.
• Assist with legal projects and process improvements, including bond administration tasks.
• Protect and manage confidential company and client information in compliance with company policies.

Eligibility

• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract drafting and review, preferably in corporate or financial services.
• LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracting and familiarity with U.S. laws preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe; experience with CLM or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
