Details of the Job/Internship

Ascensus India is hiring a Legal Analyst (Contracts) with a minimum of 3 years of experience to support its Legal, Risk & Compliance department.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review contract terms to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Populate relevant data and terms into approved contract templates under counsel supervision.
• Draft and review contracts in accordance with approved guidelines.
• Consult counsel regarding any non-compliant terms.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm business, financial, privacy, and insurance terms.
• Identify and mitigate potential financial, legal, and reputational risks in contracts.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external teams about contract status and performance.
• Ensure proper documentation, storage, and recordkeeping of executed contracts.
• Assist with other assigned projects such as bond administration.
• Protect all confidential data and ensure its secure handling.

Eligibility

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in contract drafting and review, preferably in corporate or financial services.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe.
• Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools or ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and process improvement.
• For remote positions: stable, distraction-free workspace and internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher.
