HCLTech is hiring for the position of Legal Contracts - Customer with 12-20 years of experience to join their office in Noida.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of in-house lawyers responsible for reviewing and negotiating global customer, vendor, subcontractor, and alliance partner agreements.
- Independently review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including:
- Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Partner Agreements
- Reseller Agreements
- Teaming Agreements
- Rainmaker Agreements
- Manage contract negotiations across regions including APAC, Americas (US, Canada, LATAM), and EMEA.
- Collaborate with internal business, sales, delivery, and legal teams to ensure timely closure of commercial transactions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and operational risks in a proactive manner.
- Handle legal escalations, provide strategic inputs during complex negotiations, and offer legal support during the full contract lifecycle.
- Drive legal governance through monthly reporting, cadence meetings with senior leadership, and ongoing legal team updates.
- Deliver presentations, conduct legal trainings, and participate in strategic legal projects as assigned.
- Work with external legal counsel when necessary to support negotiations and legal matters.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed institution; a post-graduate qualification is an added advantage.
- 12–20 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on commercial contract negotiations in the IT or technology sector.
- Extensive experience working with global clients and legal teams—especially in the IT services or outsourcing industry.
- Proven experience in leading mid to large-sized teams of legal professionals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong contract redlining, drafting, and risk evaluation capabilities.
- Deep understanding of commercial and operational risks related to outsourcing, service delivery, and global contracting.
- Skilled in handling negotiations directly with international clients, vendors, and alliance partners.
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes contracts simultaneously with excellent turnaround time and business alignment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to strategically influence stakeholders and communicate legal positions clearly and confidently.
