Details of the Job/Internship
Maersk is hiring a Legal Coordinator on a 12-month contract to manage and administer global cargo claims from their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle cargo claims as per set global guidelines.
- Maintain a customer-focused yet legally compliant approach to claims resolution.
- Manage and document all claims-related facts and maintain claim records.
- Coordinate with local front desks, legal teams, insurers, P&I clubs, and third-party administrators.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with claim resolutions and recovery.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain claim databases.
- Participate in loss prevention initiatives and provide technical legal guidance.
Eligibility
- Graduate from a recognized university.
- LLB/LLM or MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of maritime law and claims handling required.
- Proficient in English, with strong analytical and comprehension skills.
- Team-oriented, well-organized, and detail-focused.
- Ability to multitask and take ownership of assigned work.
Salary/Stipend
