Details of the Job/Internship
Godrej Group is hiring Legal Corporate with the experience of 9 Year to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Managing intellectual property portfolio including registration, prosecution, opposition, maintenance, renewal and enforcement.
- Advising on legal matters pertaining to intellectual property and FMCG sector such as product and advertising compliance, label declarations, artwork and legal metrology matters.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders on new product developments and related legal issues.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as intellectual property assignment and licensing, product supply, distributor arrangements and brand endorsement.
- Responding to ASCI complaints, customer and third-party claims and other legal notices.
- Handling of legal matters including drafting and vetting legal notice, replies, power of attorneys and affidavits.
- Handling industry association work.
- Maintaining digital data base including for intellectual property.
- Providing legal updates on laws and judicial precedents to internal stakeholders.
Eligibility
- 9-12 years' experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team of a large company/MNC.
- FMCG sector experience preferred.
- Expertise and in-depth knowledge of laws relating to FMCG sector, intellectual property laws, commercial, civil and consumer laws.
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts.
- Good analytical skills, commercial acumen and time sensitive.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Ability to work with and influence internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills as this position requires interaction with governmental authorities and industry associations.
