Details of the Job/Internship

Volante Technologies is looking for a Legal Counsel – Commercial and Corporate with 3 years of experience for its Hyderabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, particularly technology agreements and SOWs with customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
• Providing corporate/company secretarial support.
• Contributing to the ongoing development and review of precedent agreements, internal policies, and standardized processes.
• Leading the rollout of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.

Eligibility

• Dual qualified in India and the US.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with a particular focus on technology agreements, SOWs, and US law.
• Relevant experience working in software companies servicing the financial sector.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws (including Indian regulations such as the Data Protection Bill and IT Act) is highly desirable.
• Prior in-house experience is preferred but private practice lawyers with strong commercial and business acumen will also be considered.
• Outstanding negotiation and legal drafting skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external clients, collaborating across different geographical locations, cultures, and time zones.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of matters, while maintaining attention to detail and responsiveness.
• Proactive, motivated, confident, and a team player, with a passion for providing high-quality legal services.
