Details of the Job/Internship

Infosys is hiring a Legal Counsel with 3–8 years of experience to join their offices in Bangalore, Pune or Trivandrum.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review complex commercial IT contracts, including outsourcing agreements, service agreements, alliance agreements, subcontracting agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Review proposals and RFPs, assist in preparing proposals and responses.
• Participate in negotiations with customers and vendors across continental Europe, ensuring compliance with internal contracting policies and risk mitigation requirements.
• Manage internal escalation and approval procedures.
• Analyse legal and commercial risk issues and provide clear recommendations to business teams and senior management.
• Act as the interface between local offices and global headquarters.
• Provide legal advisory support and liaise with the global legal team on corporate compliance matters.
• Track relevant laws and regulations applicable to the company’s business.
• Share knowledge on local laws and business trends within the global Infosys legal community.

Eligibility

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification; LLM preferred.
• 4–8 years of experience in handling high-value, complex, multi-layered transactions.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Well-organised, stress-resistant and capable of working independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong domain knowledge in IT contracting and related industry verticals.
• Excellent spoken and written English; international exposure preferred.
• Understanding of common law and European laws, preferably through an LLM or similar degree.
• Ability to provide practical solutions to complex legal and commercial issues.
• Willingness to travel within continental Europe at short notice.
• Basic litigation knowledge preferred.
• Approachable, responsive, and able to handle pressure.

Salary/Stipend
