Details of the Job/Internship

Syngene International Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel with 6-12 years of relevant experience to join its legal team in Bengaluru, reporting to the Head – Non-commercial Legal and Litigation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, including procurement, supply, manufacturing, distribution, outsourcing, lease, and service agreements.
• Advise business teams on contract matters, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal support on operational, compliance, data privacy, anti-bribery, corruption, and competition law matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues and recommend legal strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure contracts align with company objectives and compliance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external counsel, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Draft and develop standard legal templates, policies, and procedures.
• Promote and adhere to safety, integrity, and quality standards.

Eligibility

• 6-12 years of relevant work experience.
• LLB from a reputed institute; LLM is an advantage but not required.
• Strong knowledge in contract drafting, negotiations, and stakeholder management.
• Experience working with or leading teams on complex matters.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and relevant laws is an added advantage.
