Details of the Job/Internship
YES BANK is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–8 years of relevant experience to join its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review transaction and security documents for domestic and cross-border lending.
- Liaise with external legal counsels for cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Vet product and process notes, policies, and terms and conditions for various business groups.
- Analyze legal issues related to statutory and regulatory compliance and provide recommendations.
- Track and update laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the bank’s business and policies.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed law college or university in India.
- Master’s Degree/LLM from a foreign or reputed domestic institution preferred.
- Experience in scheduled commercial banks, foreign banks, or law firms handling cross-border transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations related to lending and security creation in wholesale banking.
- 4–8 years of relevant work experience.
- Only candidates with relevant qualifications and experience will be considered; litigation, retail, or collection-only profiles are excluded.
- No hybrid work structure; role based in Mumbai office.
