Details of the Job/Internship

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Legal Counsel with over 10 years of post-qualification experience to join at Mumbai office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft diverse contracts including supply, distribution, licensing, clinical trials, employment, and NDAs.
• Proactively assess legal and governance risks, devise and implement mitigating policies and training.
• Support labor and contractual matters, manage litigation with external counsel.
• Advise on marketing compliance, product labeling, and regulatory developments.
• Assist business development with acquisitions, licensing, due diligence, and transactional documents.
• Provide legal mentorship and ensure adherence to laws, codes, and company policies.
• Lead innovative legal initiatives, collaborate across teams, and manage litigation across India and South Asia.
• Protect intellectual property, advise on brand protection and internet compliance.
• Provide legal counsel on all business functions including HR, operations, sales, and finance.
• Maintain high ethical, legal, and compliance standards and deliver under tight deadlines.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law from an accredited institution in India.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience post-admission.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven in-house experience with multinational or leading Indian companies.
• Business-oriented mindset, ethical leadership, and excellent judgment capability.
