Details of the Job/Internship

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Legal Counsel with 6-10 years of post-qualification experience to join their Medical Devices operation in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and strategic mentorship to the Medical Devices operation and franchise leaders.
• Work with the country lead counsel to develop legal strategies for Go To Market models and New Product Introductions.
• Address and manage legal risks, including preventative actions, trainings, and communications.
• Influence leadership to make well-considered, compliant decisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, industry codes, and company policies.
• Support business development initiatives (e.g., M&A, licensing) as required by the country lead counsel.
• Engage and manage outside counsel, including setting budgets and guidelines.
• Handle litigation, dispute resolution, and internal/external investigations.
• Advise employees on policies, including the Code of Business Conduct, FCPA, and compliance guides.
• Partner with other J&J lawyers for knowledge sharing and alignment with global standards.
• Advise on copy clearance and internet-related activities.

Eligibility

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed university/law school in India.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• 6-10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in multinational corporations, preferably in the healthcare industry, is preferred.
• Broad corporate experience advising senior business leaders is favorable.

Salary/Stipend
