Details of the Job/Internship
Shapoorji Pallonji Finance Private Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel with up to 15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize financing documents and agreements.
- Manage execution of financing documents and contractual risks.
- Conduct legal research and monitor statutory and regulatory updates.
- Provide legal interpretations and strategic advice on legislation.
- Develop and implement best practices to minimize legal exposure.
- Independently manage legal documentation for corporate/SME lending.
- Provide legal inputs across the lending lifecycle, from acquisition to recovery.
- Ensure timely closure of documentation and maintain TAT records.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree with up to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in supply chain finance, NBFC regulations, and corporate laws.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements (Balance Sheet & P&L).
- Ability to collaborate with business and credit teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel across India for legal matters.
