Details of the Job/Internship
South Pole is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–5 years of experience to join their legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including ERPAs, carbon removal credit agreements, and SaaS contracts.
- Assist in contract structuring, procurement, and template management.
- Provide legal guidance on ESG, regulatory issues, and data privacy compliance.
- Review marketing content for regulatory adherence.
- Deliver legal training and contribute to governance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global jurisdictions.
- Support dispute resolution, mediation, and stakeholder communication.
Eligibility
- Law degree and/or license to practice in a common law jurisdiction (Australia, India, Singapore, New York, England, or Hong Kong).
- 4–5 years of legal experience in law firms or in-house roles with cross-border exposure.
- Expertise in drafting commercial agreements, advising on compliance and risk.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones.
- Native-level proficiency in English.
