Details of the Job/Internship
Infosys is hiring a Legal Counsel (APAC Employment Laws) with 3–6 years of experience to join its legal team across multiple locations in India. The role involves providing legal support on employment law matters, regulatory compliance, litigation strategy, contract review, and advisory support to internal stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare memos on complex regulatory issues.
- Liaise with external counsel to support global regulatory compliance.
- Review and finalize employment policy documents and employment contracts.
- Negotiate with clients and partners to resolve contractual issues.
- Advise stakeholders on transfer and termination of employment, social security contributions, and employee benefits.
- Prepare and approve responses for submission to courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities.
- Execute and coordinate litigation strategy with external counsel.
- Liaise with insurers to manage contentious matters.
- Contribute research papers to the internal knowledge repository.
- Provide training on employment law issues.
- Prepare policy position papers.
Eligibility
- Fully qualified lawyer with 3–6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience in employment law is preferred but not mandatory.
