BlackRock is hiring a Legal Counsel Associate with at least 5 years of experience to join their Legal & Compliance function in Mumbai. The candidate will handle corporate secretarial responsibilities and provide legal support for APAC corporate entities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage company secretarial duties for APAC entities including India, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
- Organize shareholder and board meetings, and maintain minutes.
- Liaise with external secretarial service providers.
- Provide advice on corporate governance.
- Manage Directors’ KYC and respond to KYC requests.
- Review vendor and general legal contracts.
- Maintain accurate departmental records.
- Participate in global/regional legal initiatives and collaborate with global teams.
- Provide general legal support and assist with ad-hoc projects.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer (India or offshore).
- Law degree from a nationally recognized law school.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate or law firm settings.
- Proven experience in company secretarial responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and relevant applications.
