Details of the Job/Internship

SUN Mobility is hiring a Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts with 7+ years of experience in commercial contracting, preferably in the energy, EV, or engineering manufacturing sector, to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supply chain contracts, vendor agreements, customer deals, and NDAs.
• Identify legal risks and offer practical, business-friendly solutions.
• Analyse risks and strategic opportunities from a legal perspective to create long-term solutions.
• Support regulatory compliance and licensing matters in India.
• Build strong relationships across the company and with external partners.
• Improve internal legal processes, templates, and policies.
• Provide support on data, labor, and privacy issues when needed.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve legal and business challenges.
• Ensure necessary approvals are obtained before submitting contracts for execution.
• Provide contract interpretations and guidance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Eligibility

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Law.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Immediate joiners only.
• Experience in handling commercial and high-value transactions independently (in-house or law firm).
• Ability to take ownership and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good business acumen with a focus on impact-driven legal work.
• Collaborative and people-oriented.
• Knowledge of multiple Indian languages is a plus.

Salary/Stipend
