Details of the Job/Internship

Amber is hiring an experienced Legal Counsel to strengthen its India Legal team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Company Secretarial (10%):
• Support Board, AGM, EGM, and CSR meetings.
• Maintain statutory registers and ensure accurate filings with the Registrar of Companies.
• Act as Company Secretary under Companies Act, 2013 if required.
• Corporate & Commercial (90%):
• Provide practical legal advice on day-to-day commercial matters involving customers, vendors, and partners.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements in line with company interests and local laws.
• Update, create, and maintain precedent agreements and legal processes.
• Support dispute resolution processes and internal investigations.
• Conduct training for business teams on legal and contractual issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws, foreign exchange regulations, ESG, and CSR policies.
• Assist in protecting the company’s intellectual property rights.
• Support company and subsidiary compliance for investor and lender agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance and statutory compliance for overseas company setups.

Eligibility

• LLB + Company Secretary (CS) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as in-house counsel or law firm handling corporate matters.
• Knowledge of UK/US-governed contracts preferred.
• Strong command of English and corporate laws including Companies Act and RBI compliance.
• High integrity, honesty, and proactive, team-oriented approach.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
