Details of the Job/Internship

Hike is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel to join their office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the business by providing advice on business transactions and contracts, agreements as well as laws pertaining to gaming, technology, IT, IP, data protection, privacy and dispute resolution.
• Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Manage IPR portfolio.
• Indulge in fact finding and responding to notices received from cyber cells and other departments.
• Advise teams on matters of user grievances and redressal thereof.
• Track regulatory changes, identifying potential impacts and opportunities for engagement and proactive measures.
• Draft and evaluate policy proposals, legal documents, and representations.
• Assist in providing legal support to day-to-day projects and collaborate with members of product, engineering, people, recruitment, and marketing business teams on various legal issues.
• Participate in due diligence and advice in relation to fundraising transactions.

Eligibility

• An LLB graduate having at least 4+ years of relevant legal experience, including experience in commercial contracts, and technology laws.
• Preference will be given to candidates having relevant start-up experience.
• Experience in legal or public policy is a plus.
• Demonstrated excellence in making informed judgments, and setting priorities in ambiguous situations.
• Self-starter with a solution-oriented attitude.
• You have excellent organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• You enjoy working in both individual and team settings.
