Details of the Job/Internship
udaan.com is hiring a Legal Counsel-Contracts with experience of 5 to 6 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Good understanding of commercial laws (including Companies Act, Contracts Law, RBI Regulations, Sale of Goods Act, Competition Act, IT Act, FEMA, Consumer Laws, IPR Laws, data privacy, Arbitration etc.)
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide of range of commercial contracts and associated agreements: procurement and sale agreements, non-disclosure agreements, Information Technology (IT) related agreements, EULA, SAAS and licensing agreements.
- Drafting and reviewing terms and conditions and associated policy documents for online platforms and websites.
- Handle corporate governance matters and provide counsel on strategic business initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives while mitigating legal risks.
Eligibility
- Qualification from a top-tier law school.
- 5-6 years of legal experience in commercial contracts (either as in-house counsel or as a lawyer in a law firm); Experience in FMCG and/or E-commerce industry if preferable.
- Familiarity with Internet, and/or business industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which e-commerce entities operate.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving workplace.
