Details of the Job/Internship
Groww is hiring a Legal Counsel - Corporate Advisory, Regulatory Advisory and Policy.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Indian university.
- Previous experience with a reputable law firm is mandatory.
- PQE 4-6 years, with experience in fintech and policy. Previous experience in a reputed law firm or in a leading fintech organisation would be an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to the financial sector, including familiarity with RBI, SEBI, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Experience working in a fintech company, providing corporate and regulatory advisory on general matters and new product launches.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI and other relevant regulators and industry bodies.
- Advise on legal and regulatory aspects related to the structuring of entities and assist in structuring and negotiating complex transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Interpret and analyse RBI and SEBI regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Represent the company in interactions with industry bodies and participate in public policy work, advocating for the industry's interests and providing legal insights.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the fintech industry, advising clients on potential implications and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in relation to the development and launch of new products and services.
