Details of the Job/Internship
Infosys is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel (Export Control) with 4-7 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all applicable export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).
- Draft, implement and manage Technology Control Plans
- Create and implement procedures, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with applicable export control regulations.
- Monitor changes in applicable regulations and advise management of necessary changes to ensure continued compliance.
- Maintain records of export activity and prepare reports for internal and external auditing purposes.
- Handle the organizations export compliance training program, including educating employees on export control regulations and best practices.
- Maintain the organizations export classification process, including conducting product and technology reviews and making classification determinations.
- Analyzing and interpreting global export control laws and sanctions to ensure adherence.
- Understanding the applicability and risk of Export Control and Sanction to Infosys’s global operations.
- Oversee highly competitive LPM process for client sanctions screening.
- Collaborating with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to implement effective compliance strategies.
- Support to provide advisory guidance on daily export control issues for all departments
- Maintain and update all policies and procedure related to Export Compliance
- Maintain all compliance training documents and retention records
- Assist as required, to apply for export licenses and rulings, including maintaining logs of all licenses, rulings.
Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Degree in law or other professional qualifications preferred.
- Experience: 4-7 years’ relevant work experience overall.
