Details of the Job/Internship

Sandoz India is hiring a Legal Counsel for Global Transactions to join their office in Telangana.

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as a legal Business Partner to the Country Head, providing strategic advice on contractual negotiations and statutory obligations.
• Draft complex transactions independently and provide contextual legal guidance to stakeholders.
• Identify business risks and proactively determine solutions to ensure early legal involvement.
• Conduct robust risk assessments to substantiate management recommendations and decision-making processes.
• Manage significant disputes, investigations, and litigation independently within a broad framework.
• Provide specialized expertise in areas such as licensing, divestment, and HR/Regulatory matters.
• Lead, direct, and develop junior legal counsels and paralegals.
• Ensure the reporting of technical complaints or adverse events related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt.

Eligibility

• Extensive work experience with significant industry and business exposure.
• Proven ability in functional breadth, project management, and people leadership.
• Strong background in managing risk and legal accountability.
• Proficiency in core legal areas: Litigation, Data Privacy, Finance, and Tax.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to operate effectively as a business partner.
• Fluent in English with the ability to set priorities and manage a wide-ranging, high-stakes workload.
