Swiggy is hiring a Legal Counsel I (General Corporate) for a full-time office role in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, supply agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, IPR-related documents and other legal documents.
- The role will focus on service agreements, licensing agreements, vendor contracts, advertising, endorsement, marketing agreements, sponsorship agreements and NDAs.
- They will support new business initiatives and work on projects with legal evaluation and ensure timely compliance with all contractual obligations.
- The candidate will be required to research applicable regulatory laws and prepare in-house preliminary opinions.
- They will assist in reviewing print, social media and other advertisements and marketing communications to ensure legal compliance.
- Additionally, the role involves providing guidance and assistance on drafting and reviewing various policies and terms and conditions relating to offers, business and services.
Eligibility
- The candidate should have transactional drafting, negotiation and advisory experience on different commercial transactions gained at a leading law firm and/or in-house at a multinational corporation.
- They must be skilled in contract analysis and possess working knowledge of fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and assess business processes, spot issues and propose or implement solutions, is required.
- The role demands the ability to function autonomously while communicating effectively across all levels.
- Strong legal and business judgment, excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- The candidate must be ready to manage new projects independently with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize and handle a fast-paced workload.
