Details of the Job/Internship

Swiggy is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel I (General Corporate) to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, Supply Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, IPR-related documents, and more.
• Work extensively on service agreements, licensing contracts, vendor agreements, advertising, marketing, sponsorship, and endorsement deals.
• Support new business initiatives by evaluating legal risks, ensuring compliance, and managing contractual obligations.
• Research and provide preliminary in-house opinions on regulatory matters.
• Review marketing and promotional material (print, digital, social media) to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Draft and review internal policies, terms and conditions, and other business-related documents.

Eligibility

• Hands-on experience in transactional drafting, negotiation, and advisory work at a leading law firm or in-house legal team (MNC/start-up experience preferred).
• Strong ability to analyze contracts, identify key risks, and suggest practical solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and process evaluation skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
• Strong business acumen coupled with sound legal judgment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to simplify complex issues for diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset, eager to take on new projects, and able to deliver under tight timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
