Details of the Job/Internship
Swiggy is hiring a Legal Counsel I (General Corporate) with 1–2 years of experience to join its Bengaluru office in a full-time, on-site role. The position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on legal compliance for new business initiatives, and supporting marketing and operational activities from a legal perspective.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, supply agreements, MSAs, statements of work, and IPR-related documents.
- Handle service agreements, licensing agreements, vendor contracts, advertising, marketing, sponsorship agreements, and related NDAs.
- Support new business initiatives and project teams to ensure legal evaluation and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Research applicable regulatory laws and prepare preliminary in-house opinions.
- Review marketing communications, including print and social media, for legal compliance.
- Provide guidance on drafting and reviewing policies, terms, and conditions related to offers, business, and services.
- Assess business processes, identify legal issues, and propose or implement solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with management and employees while working independently on projects.
Eligibility
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law.
- Transactional drafting, negotiation, and advisory experience in commercial contracts, gained at a leading law firm or in-house at a multinational corporation.
- Strong understanding of commercial contract provisions and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of projects.
