Details of the Job/Internship
Instamart is hiring a Legal Counsel I – Litigation with 0–2 years of experience for a full-time remote role. Team members are required to gather at their base location once every quarter.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage requests from law enforcement under Section 94 BNSS/91 CrPC and ensure timely response.
- Collect and validate data for legal notices, ensuring 12-hour turnaround.
- Assist in ongoing litigation by preparing briefs, vetting documents, drafting responses, and conducting legal research.
- Maintain trackers for incoming notices and outgoing responses.
- Liaise with police officials and provide updates on data submissions.
- Identify and coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Process legal invoices and coordinate with finance for payments.
- Maintain records of legal expenses and retainers.
- Attend court hearings and manage litigation documentation and courier handling.
Eligibility
- Experience as Legal Executive/Para-legal in a fast-paced organization.
- Exposure before Courts and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Ability to manage external counsels, especially in Tier II and III cities.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and record-keeping skills.
