Details of the Job/Internship

Worley is hiring a Legal Counsel II with 4–9 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, joint venture agreements, alliances, and corporate structures.
• Prepare confidentiality undertakings, parent company guarantees, and bank guarantees.
• Advise on legal and commercial matters, including governance, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Support project teams during opportunity and execution phases, including change management and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with Regional and Strategic General Counsels and Legal Centers of Excellence to manage legal risks.
• Contribute to development of AI-based legal tools, templates, and training materials.
• Provide informal mentorship and share knowledge across the team.

Eligibility

• LLB-qualified legal practitioner; admitted as Solicitor/Attorney.
• 5–9 years of experience in private practice and/or in-house roles.
• Strong expertise in commercial and contract law, preferably within engineering or similar sectors.
• Familiarity with EMEA legal frameworks preferred.
• Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with legal technology tools and AI is an advantage.

Salary/Stipend
