Worley is hiring a Legal Counsel II with 4–9 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in Navi Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, joint venture and teaming arrangements, and corporate structures.
- Prepare and negotiate confidentiality undertakings, parent company guarantees, and bank guarantees.
- Advise on legal and commercial issues, including risk assessment, compliance, and governance.
- Support project teams during opportunity and execution phases, including change management and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with regional and strategic general counsels to manage legal risks and support business goals.
- Contribute to the development of AI-based legal tools, templates, and training materials.
- Mentor junior legal team members and promote knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen, strong communication, and strategic thinking.
Eligibility
- Qualified legal practitioner with an LLB degree; admission as Solicitor/Attorney preferred.
- 5–9 years of post-graduation experience, ideally a combination of private practice and in-house legal work.
- Strong background in commercial and contract law, preferably within the engineering or related sectors.
- Familiarity with EMEA legal frameworks preferred.
- Experience with legal technology tools and AI is an advantage.
