Details of the Job/Internship

Worley is seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel II with 5–9 years of PQE to support its EMEA Legal team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate client contracts, joint venture agreements, teaming arrangements and corporate structures.
• Prepare and negotiate confidentiality undertakings, parent company guarantees and bank guarantees.
• Provide legal and commercial advice on risk, governance and compliance matters.
• Support project teams during proposal and execution phases, including change management and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with regional and strategic general counsels and legal centers of excellence to manage legal risk.
• Develop and refine AI-based legal tools, templates and training resources.
• Informally mentor junior legal team members and share knowledge within the team.
• Ensure alignment with Worley’s values, vision and operational objectives.
• Deliver presentations and training as required.
• Manage multiple complex projects and adapt effectively to evolving business conditions.
• Use legal technology and AI tools to enhance service delivery.

Eligibility

• LLB-qualified and admitted as a Solicitor/Attorney.
• 5–9 years of post-qualification experience, ideally a mix of private practice and in-house roles.
• Strong grounding in commercial and contract law, preferably in engineering or similar sectors.
• Experience with EMEA-region contracts and legal systems (UK preferred).
• Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making.
• Proficiency with legal tech and AI-enabled systems is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and global teams.

Salary/Stipend
