Details of the Job/Internship
Dozee is hiring a Legal Counsel (India and US) for its Bengaluru, Karnataka office. Candidates must have 6 to 8 years of experience in corporate legal roles, managing both India and US regions, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or SaaS companies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, clients, distributors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that contracts are legally sound and protect the company’s interests.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, medical device laws, and industry standards (e.g., CDSCO, ISO, and other Indian and US laws).
- Intellectual Property: Assist in the management of intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights related to the company’s products and technologies.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle and support in resolving disputes through legal channels, including settlements, litigation, or arbitration.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate governance policies, including regulatory filings, board resolutions, and other statutory compliance matters.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant issues affecting the healthcare device industry and provide timely legal advice to internal teams.
- Advisory Role: Provide ongoing legal support and advice to internal stakeholders, including R&D, operations, marketing, and sales teams.
- Litigation Support: Coordinate with external counsels on litigation matters, managing documentation and ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Risk Management: Help identify and mitigate legal risks associated with new product launches, contracts, and operational procedures.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters such as compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory issues.
Eligibility
- Educational Requirements: LLB or equivalent degree from a reputed law school in India.
- Experience: 6to 8 years of experience in a corporate legal role managing both India and US regions, preferably with experience in the healthcare, medical devices, or SaaS companies.
- Strong understanding of Indian and US healthcare regulations and medical device laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with intellectual property laws, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Good understanding of corporate governance and compliance matters.
- A keen interest in the healthcare industry and its legal landscape.
