Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking a Legal Counsel for their operations in Bengaluru. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's legal matters in India. Join their team and play a key role in supporting their growth and success in the region. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Focus on legal, governance, compliance, and commercial issues in an international sales operation.
• Act as a true business partner, working closely with the country leadership team and reporting to the local General Manager.
• Support the regional sales office in achieving results and ensuring long-term sustainable success.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on various matters and projects including sales, distribution, healthcare compliance, and corporate governance.
• Contribute to local and international projects, playing a key role in the direction of the sales office.
• Collaborate with the global legal team and provide input on strategic decisions.
• Take on interesting and challenging tasks that contribute to the global business headquartered in New Zealand.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Laws degree; additional qualifications in accounting, finance, or business advantageous.
• 6-8+ years post-admission experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Experience in major law firms or corporate/commercial in-house positions preferred.
• Company Secretary responsibilities experience advantageous but not essential.
• International work experience or exposure beneficial.
• Ability to provide pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice.
• Strong team player with the ability to form constructive relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
