Eastri is a growing startup that connects consumers to local ironing shops for fast, efficient ironing services, delivered straight to their homes through a mobile app. Eastri aims to organise India’s traditional istri ecosystem and create a tech-enabled ironing revolution across the country.

Details of the Job/Internship

Eastri is hiring a Legal Counsel Intern for a three-month internship to join their office in Mumbai on a hybrid but mainly remote, part-time and flexible basis.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, format, and maintain internal legal documents including contracts, NDAs, MoUs, onboarding agreements, Terms of Service, and privacy policies.
• Coordinate with partner law firms, legal consultants, and compliance advisors.
• Assist in setting up Eastri’s legal frameworks for data privacy, vendor contracts, intellectual property, and employment.
• Research government policies and licensing laws affecting Eastri's operations in the personal and home services space.
• Keep documentation legally up to date in line with company expansion across cities, shops, staff, and revenue.

Eligibility

• Law student (2nd year and above for 5-year programs or in 3-year LLB preferred).
• Strong grasp of Indian Contract Law, Company Law, and IP Law.
• Excellent written English and formatting skills.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and proactive in communication.
• Prior internship or drafting experience preferred but not mandatory.
