Details of the Job/Internship
Ssquad Global is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel (IT Agreements) with 5years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and guidance on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including software licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Oversee and manage company policies related to corporate compliance, ethics, and risk management.
- Conduct legal research and provide updates on new laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., R&D, Marketing, Sales) to provide legal advice and support.
- Handle employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts and handling disputes.
- Manage external legal counsel and liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
Eligibility
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law and compliance, preferably in the technology or software industry.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, data privacy laws, and software licensing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP) are a plus.
