Infosys is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel (Regulatory Compliance) with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as ERM, Quality, Delivery Leadership, Risk Management, and Sales to assess risks and support the development and implementation of vertical compliance programs.
- Review and advise on the design and rollout of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external Subject Matter Resources (SMRs) for the effective implementation of compliance frameworks.
- Address and resolve compliance-related queries across verticals.
- Conduct risk assessments of operational processes to ensure compliance conditions are being met effectively.
- Engage with delivery teams and accounts to gather input for sector-specific compliance questionnaires.
- Review contracts and relevant documents to identify and interpret contractual obligations, legal clauses, and regulatory requirements specific to industry verticals.
- Act as the legal Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the vertical compliance program.
- Assist in designing and implementing compliance certification frameworks.
- Develop and conduct training programs and workshops to build awareness and understanding of sector-specific compliance requirements.
- Identify regulatory requirements and assess their applicability based on:
- Nature of service offerings
- Contractual clauses and commitments
- Define the scope of regulations in collaboration with internal compliance leads and cross-functional teams.
- Identify applicable regulations across jurisdictions and secure formal approval from the vertical compliance team.
- Translate regulatory requirements and industry standards into actionable compliance obligations.
- Map these obligations to operational controls, consolidate where possible, and ensure they are aligned with internal governance structures.
- Provide regular updates on regulatory changes and their impact on compliance controls.
- Develop and finalize compliance checklists, obtain sign-offs, and support compliance managers through assessments and certification processes.
Eligibility
- 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, possessing a strong understanding of regulatory compliance programs and contract due diligence. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of applicable regulations across various industry sectors, including:
- Financial Services (FS)
- Healthcare, Insurance & Life Sciences (HIL)
- Service, Utility, Resources & Energy (SURE)
- Retail, Consumer Goods & Logistics (RCL)
- Communication, Media & Technology (CMT)
