Infosys is hiring for the position of Legal Counsel (Regulatory Compliance) with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Compliance Program Development:
• Work closely with the ERM, Delivery, Quality, Risk, and Sales teams to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive vertical compliance program.
• SOP and Policy Advisory:
• Review, advise, and support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance guidelines tailored to business needs and industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Liaise with internal teams and Subject Matter Resources (SMRs) to ensure effective implementation of compliance frameworks.
• Risk Assessment & Monitoring:
• Conduct risk assessments for downstream processes and monitor the fulfillment of contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Contractual Compliance:
• Review customer contracts and related documentation to identify compliance-related clauses and interpret legal obligations relevant to sectoral regulations.
• Regulatory Interpretation:
• Translate contractual terms and sector-specific regulations into actionable compliance obligations.
• Governance & Framework Ownership:
• Act as the legal SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for all matters related to the compliance framework and governance within the vertical.
• Certification Program Support:
• Assist in designing compliance certification programs and support their rollout through training and workshops.
• Obligation Mapping:
• Identify applicable regulations based on service scope and contractual terms
• Map compliance obligations to operational controls
• Consolidate and align with existing compliance frameworks
• Checklist & Documentation:
• Finalize and maintain compliance checklists with sign-offs from stakeholders. Provide regular regulatory updates and ensure relevant controls are aligned accordingly.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Conduct workshops and offer continuous support to compliance managers during self-assessment and certification processes.

Eligibility

• They are seeking a legal professional with 4–6 years of post-qualification experience, well-versed in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and contract due diligence. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of compliance frameworks across various industry sectors, including:
• Financial Services (FS)
• Healthcare, Insurance & Life Sciences (HIL)
• Service, Utility, Resources & Energy (SURE)
• Retail, Consumer Goods & Logistics (RCL)
• Communication, Media & Technology (CMT)
