Infosys is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel - Artificial Intelligence.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the business teams regarding the compliance requirements around the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Also, drive negotiations on AI-related terms in vendor and client contracts.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to develop processes related to AI adaption.
- Review technical & legal aspects of services or product agreements. Sensitize technology teams of risks and negotiate with clients, vendors or partners.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors for the product licensing and services.
- Manage overall IP and AI risk assessment process for proprietary product/platform development.
- Engage with business teams to understand technical & commercial contexts and translate the requirements for drafting of legal agreements.
- Conduct legal research on emerging technology areas to enhance awareness and update contractual positions.
- Support technology teams with opensource compliance process.
- Support on cyber security related issues and develop practical framework for handling security incidents.
- Support different stake holders with online legal issues such intermediary liability, web crawling, online brand abuse, crowdsourcing, jurisdiction challenges, domain name squatting, phishing, IP leakage enforcement etc.
- Analyze IP and AI issues related to commercial risks, and presenting clear recommendations, and assure legal compliance.
- Support in developing and creating IP and AI material for imparting awareness in the organization.
- Draft and review cease and desist notices and other communications in respect of IP Infringement.
Eligibility
Technical (preferably in electronic/software) background and a LLB with 6 to 10 years’ work experience in corporate environment.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
